Our digestive system is where we absorb nutrients from our food and drink. And most of our immune system and happy hormones also are made in our gut too.
So wouldn’t it be fair to say that if you have an unhappy gut, you would be unhappy too?
There are many things that can effect the happiness of your gut:
- Antibiotic use
- Prescription medication
- Processed foods
But how do you know when your gut is unhappy?
- Food intolerances
- Auto immune diseases
- Skin conditions- acne, rosacea or eczema
- Poor immunity (lots of colds or you get gastro all the time)
- Anxiety or depression
These symptoms and conditions also are associated with Irritable Bowl Syndrome (IBS), Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO- a subset of IBS) and other inflammatory bowel conditions.
